. . Carol A. Strong and her world renowned Bihar
Löwchen were located in Cazenovia, New York. Carol successfully bred and finished over 100
Am. Champion Bihar Afghans, Lhasa Apso's, and PBGV's (Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen). She discovered
the Löwchen while still showing her Lhasa's and obtained her first Löwchen in the early 1980's and fell in
love with the breed. She credits Ivytree, Carolyn Marzano and Lionheart, Della Cialini, for much of Bihar's success.
Up to the time of her death, Bihar produced over 30 Am. Champion Löwchen including Best in Show, Multi
Best in Specialty Show and Group winning dogs in the US and Canada. Carol was highly respected by
fellow breeders around the world and was Education Chair for the Löwchen Club of America for many years.
She was actively involved in the club and had the honour of judging Sweepstakes at the LCA National in 2009. A
former professional handler and groomer, her life was devoted to her dogs and the sport of showing dogs .
Carol always retained the highest level of quality something the Bihar name has become synonymous for. Carol
didn't just go to a dog show, she lived it, sitting through the Groups, studying the dogs seldom leaving before BIS and
she truly loved the opportunity to support and educate those around her that had questions. Personable,
approachable, helpful, supportive, Carol was all of those things and more. . .
